Titans interested in Bennett

The Tennessee Titans are showing interest in wide receiver Drew Bennett and have had him in for a visit.

Bennett had a previous stint with the Titans and was a major weapon in the red zone for the team.

The Titans lost out on their bid to sign Torry Holt, who ended up with the rival Jacksonville Jaguars.

The passing game has been a major problem pretty much ever since Derrick Mason left and signed with the Baltimore Ravens, and the Titans feel that an impact receiver could put them over the top.

Johnson has big goals

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is coming off of a highly successful rookie season in which he was among the top rushers in the NFL.

Many were surprised by Johnson’s huge impact, believing his thin frame was more suitable for about 10 carries per game and a lot of work catching the ball out of the backfield.

Instead, Johnson became the primary back and made the most of the opportunity, showing a penchant for being able to break off the long touchdown run with his incredible speed.

Now in his second season, Johnson is ready to take his game to the next level. The running back is talking about winning the rushing title and the Most Valuable Player award, two prestigious accomplishments.

He might just be able to do it, especially after watching him carve up Baltimore’s defense in the playoffs before an injury forced him to the sidelines for the rest of the night.

Collins finds peace in writing songs

Tennessee Titans quarterback Kerry Collins has been at the game of football for a long time, but said he has learned that writing country songs helps him find peace.

He said his move to the Titans and the city of Nashville, considered the place for country music, has really made it the perfect fit for him and allowed him to be happy.

Collins said he never even thought about writing music when he first came to Nashville, but it has been something that has just kind of evolved over his time in the city.

The quarterback has found that finding something he truely loves outside of the game has allowed him to become a better person and a better football player, so it has been a win-win all around.

Titans’ Young trying to grow up

It hasn’t been an easy NFL career for Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young, but he is trying to take everything in stride and grow from all of the experiences.

Young has been viewed as very immature by many teammates and a bust by even more NFL scouts and personnel.

He has gone from being the team’s starting quarterback to having to battle it out with Chris Simms for the backup job in training camp later this summer, but he is trying not to let those things bother him.

Young knows that veteran starter Kerry Collins won’t play for that much longer, giving him another chance at the starting job and to make an impact in the NFL.

He still has the talent to get the job done, and is trying to go about his business in a more professional manner and work hard to improve his game.

Titans get WR Britt

The Tennessee Titans continued the process of upgrading their offense this offseason when they drafted wide receiver Kenny Britt in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The Titans obviously had a fantastic defense last year, but their offense was their ultimate downfall.

The inability to score points against the Ravens in the playoffs, especially when in the red zone, really cost them a shot at the AFC Championship.

Britt is a big target who should help to solve some of their red zone problems with regard to the passing game.

The team just recently signed veteran wide receiver Torry Holt, who should provide immediate help.
